To be able to express emotions through instruments and singing is so beautiful. I can’t imagine how I’d tell people how I feel without a song to help me along the way or how to find faith when it’s lost.

After a rollercoaster of a day music helps me relax, remember and reflect. Originally this post was going to be about Naturally 7, a band who makes all their sounds through their vocals. I will still post a couple of videos of them, purely because of their unique talent. They are truly amazing, have a listen. But after the writing the first paragraph I feel this post can be much more.

Right now, I’m listening to UB40 – I Got You Babe. But when I shuffle through my iPod, I realise all 3441 songs remind me of a moment in my life. Each song takes me back to that moment, and all the feelings come rushing back. It’s funny when you think about it. While the song tells a story, you have your own story to tell too!

So what’s your song story? Do you have certain tracks which take you back? I would love to know, how important music is to you.

And as I promised, here are a few videos of Naturally 7. Let me know what you think.

Humans are like tea bags. They are at their strongest when in hot water.

Last week was a bit of a rollercoaster. Things weren’t going to plan and ‘the plan’ was forever changing.

But if anything, something came out of the madness; the game of life is a weird one! (As if you didn’t know that) But I realised that people walk in and out of your life, but not many leave footprints in your heart. Living in the 21st century, if you can put your hand on your heart and say you have a true friend, you are a very lucky person.

People say friends are the family you chose. So whether it’s a lover, friend, or both keep hold of those special people.

Last week it rained. Actually it poured. But it taught me that those you expect to be there might not be. But, and here is the important bit. You will cross paths with someone else and they will pick you up, brush you off and turn that straight line into a beautiful curve on your face.

I realise that a problem shared is a problem halved. I’m one of those stupid people who would rather tell a complete stranger my problems. But what’s the point. Now I laugh at myself. By telling those who actually know you; one, their advice will be much more helpful and two, it plays a big part in an uber-kool thing called friendship.

Me and Nikhil are reading a book called “Gypsy Masala: A Story of Dreams” by Preethi Nair at the moment. And though we haven’t got past the first few pages we found a pretty beautiful quote in it:

“If thoughts were left to fly to unknown places, then perhaps nature’s hand would pick them up and breathe into them an awaiting reality.”

I’m not even going to say anythig about it because I think it says it all by itself and you will all probably find your own meaning behind it.
